Ude sees no backdoor for third runway

After the munich citizens' no to the third runway, mayor christian ude (SPD) currently sees no chance of realizing the project – even if prime minister horst seehofer (CSU) and the black-yellow government are thinking about it. Ude resolutely rejected accusations from the CSU and FDP that he was the real loser of sunday's referendum. This is "a grotesque distortion of the facts". "It was about an airport project, the free state of bavaria is the majority shareholder, the state government decided on the project, it provides three munich ministers", he explained. "But if the minister-president and all munich cabinet colleagues cannot convince the people, the chief burgomaster should be the sole loser. That does not want to me in the head."
