Where the community should act

Where the community should act

It was almost a one-man show by rolf kuhn at the burgers meeting in the sportheim. Under its motto "climate-free to overeat is in danger" he went after the second mayor werner hanke (upwg) with his notes written down on pages, but in an extremely matter-of-fact way. The latter had to stand in for the mayor, who had fallen ill.

Kuhn first denounced the "parking of trucks" on the square next to the school sports facility. "The space is gone", he said, because the trucks heavily damaged the surface. In addition, construction machinery also contributed to the disfigurement. A year ago, he had already pointed out this unsightly matter at the castle assembly, but nothing had been done, complained kuhn. The municipality does not prohibit parking, which is a failure that has negative consequences.

Commentary: a question of perspective

Commentary: a question of perspective

There are two ways of looking at the relocation of the cycle track. One is the urban development perspective: it makes sense to think now about the parking spaces of tomorrow. There is no drama in the fact that the cycle path and the road run parallel for a short distance. Many bike paths border directly on dense road traffic. Even for children it’s no problem, because they learn the rules of the road at school.

The second view, however, is a different one: a brand-new cycle path is being planned that will lead through beautiful landscapes and is intended to be a showpiece of tourism marketing – and it certainly has the potential to be so. The fact that the path at the height of the old train station leaves the original course on the railroad line is not only bearable, but even sensible. The relocation to the bypass road was simply nonsense. The value of the new cycle path for the region has been lost from view. It is understandable that some citizens can only shake their heads at this. And it speaks for the cohesion of the rhonallianz that the other mayors along the route were not openly surprised about the solo effort of bad bruckenau.

Fast internet also for resettlement centers?

The resettlement farms and the area of fernwasserversorgung franken (F) in sulzfeld are poorly supplied with high-speed internet so far. If the municipality now invests 80,000 euros in fiber-optic cables for the expansion of broadband access, a demand rate of 80 percent would be possible, informed mayor gerhard schenkel at the council meeting on thursday. 16 000 euro had to be financed with the deduction of the grant, and the F had already agreed to contribute to the costs.

It is now necessary to ask the owners of the resettled farms whether they are interested in faster internet and whether they will also contribute financially. At the council table, the willingness was signaled to contribute as a community an amount of 6000 euros – under the condition that the resettlers also participate.

Ten years of solar power from the school roof: ebermannstadters get their deposits back

Ten years of solar power from the school roof: ebermannstadters get their deposits back

In december 2008, the photovoltaic system on the roof of the primary and secondary school went into operation. More than half of the investment costs were financed by contributions from the public purse, and now the repayment is being made.

With the construction of the solar plant on the roof of the school, the municipal utility of ebermannstadt had offered the citizens an opportunity to invest their money in an environmentally friendly local power supply. The offer attracted considerable interest at the time, so that more than half of the investment costs, amounting to 170 euros, were covered.000 euros was financed via burger deposits. Now the contracts are expiring and the deposits are being repaid. Due to the good condition of the photovoltaic system, it will continue to be operated for the time being, according to the municipal utilities.

Trainee academy to be launched in the region

Trainee academy to be launched in the region

There are now a number of projects for apprentices. Dropouts should be given a second chance, young people should be challenged, network and work as specialists in companies.
But what about the other side? With the companies that liked to have good trainees and also want to keep them? "As a medium-sized company in the IT sector, we have noticed that "the big players have bought away the trainees like a magnet. This is what ingolf brauner, president of the federation of self-employed persons (BDS) and initiator of the trainee academy, has to say.

"I thought we had to do more for our apprentices." At the same time, he said, he wanted every employee to be a bit of an entrepreneur as well "to appreciate the consequences of trade, to look beyond the horizon. It starts with the trainees."
