General Information

Computer Produced Artwork

Artwork e-mail address: artwork@jo-bee.com. JO-BEE will accept computer-produced artwork via 3.5 inch floppy disk, 100 Zip, CD Rom or e-mail. We will accept the following formats: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Freehand (if saved as an EPS), Corel Draw (if saved as an AI. file), and Mac based QuarkXPress (include all images and fonts). WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAGE-MAKER, WORD DOCUMENTS, JPEG, or GIF files.

The artwork must conform to the following specifications:

  1. All files for non-full color items regardless of format must be set for black and white output. Do not send grayscale, rgb or cmyk. For full color items please send color art.
  2. Fonts used in EPS or Illustrator format must be outlined.
  3. TIFF files should be 1200 dpi. You can send TIFF files at 600 dpi provided they are no less than 200% of the final imprint size.
  4. Please be sure to indicate on your order “Artwork sent by disk or email”
  5. Artwork charges will apply to any orders that require us to separate colors and/or substantially clean art. The charge is $40 per hour.

Change of an Order

A charge of $35.00(G) applies to all changes received after die or screen has been made. Corrections are not possible on orders that have already been printed. All changes must be requested in writing.

Change of Copy or Change of Imprint Color

Add $12.00(C) for any and each change.

E-Mail Orders

Orders and artwork can be sent to JO-BEE via e-mail. E-mail orders will be considered the original order. The legibility, completeness, and accuracy of the order and artwork will be the distributors full responsibility. JO-BEE cannot be responsible for transmission malfunctions and/or ISP down time. Imprint Color Matches

We can approximately match most colors within one shade. These special matches cost $20.00(C) per color.

Production Time

Normal production time is approximately 5 to 10 working days. Full color item production time is approximately 7 to 10 working days.

Over Runs

Although we attempt to ship exact quantity, orders are subject to a 5% overrun or underrun.

Proofs

Faxed or E-mailed paper proof: $10.00(G).
Item proof: $35.00(C).
Full color items: Item proof $35(C)
Laser engraved items: Item proof $40.00(C).

Returns

Authorization from JO-BEE is required prior to return of merchandise. Defective merchandise or merchandise found to be incorrect due to our error will be replaced when returned within 60 days from receipt of merchandise. Unauthorized returns will be refused and returned to sender. No credit will be issued for merchandise which is unavailable for return to factory.

Self Promotion

If any of our customers would like to promote their business using JO-BEE products, we offer end quantity price less 20%. The customer may use one-half the catalog minimum.

Sharpening Pencils

Our pencils normally come unsharpened where applicable, add $25.00(C) per M. for round or hex pencils, and add $40.00(C) per M. for Jumbo pencils. Carpenter pencils and Bowling pencils cannot be factory-sharpened.

Shipping Method

We ship the best and most economical way to ensure on-time delivery. Methods of shipping include UPS, FedEx or common carrier. This applies to all orders unless otherwise specified. We will not be responsible for late deliveries by a carrier when we have shipped on a requested date. If third-party billing is requested for shipment, we will add a $5.00 net fee per package for handling.

Split Shipments / Drop Ships

Add $10.00(C) for each shipment.

BEELINE Pricing

Jo-Bee is proud to offer BEE LINE service for a one or two day turnaround on your order. Items that qualify for BEE LINE service are noted in the catalog. The following criteria will help ensure that your order is processed quickly and efficiently to meet your deadline.

  1. Order must be marked BEE LINE with one or two day service along with the corresponding pricing.
  2. Catalog quantities only.
  3. Sample and paper proofs are not available on BEE LINE service due to time constraints.
  4. Established and up to date credit will facilitate service. We accept American Express, Visa and Mastercard.
  5. One color imprint. Multi color imprints not available.
  6. Black and white camera-ready art is required.
  7. Items must be in stock at the time the order is placed. Please call factory for availability prior to placing order.
  8. Orders must be received by 11:00 a.m. CST.
